W.L. Weller 12 Year is a straight bourbon made with the wheated mash William Larue Weller introduced in the 19th century, aged significantly longer than most and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
It pours a rich, deep bronze, with aromas of lanolin, almond, creamed corn and toasty vanilla, a heavily wheated, layered and moderately sweet mid-palate, and a long, oaky, intensely smooth finish. Smooth, balanced and refined, neat or on the rocks.
